Theology

I must pose this; for some see theology as an outward bound knowledge, where others see it for what it is, an inbound transformation brought about by the Living God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.  This is not singly, as a onetime experience, but a continual moving from within brought by the Holy Spirit’s very breath; the washing of water by the Word, the illuminated and spoken Word which brings life to all who hear and obey.

The study of God for me is a lifetime thing that does not stop at any point or time; not even in a circumstantial perspective, where life throws a curve ball and we become distracted.  It is even here where we find the height of our attraction to Christ; through diligence we find our way to the redeeming blood of the Cross bringing us from glory to glory as by the Spirit.

So now, as I reflect on this lifetime pursuit of God known to us as theology I must humble myself under His mighty hand and seek His grace to carry me, because I am completely unable to do without.  May the Lord bless our study of Him, and may it be all for Him, and of Him, and to Him; the place where we would cease and He would reign, in Jesus name.
